HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!5 Things about Father's Day
1. Father's Day, hich was first celebrated on 19 june 1910, was the idea of American Sonora Smart Dodd. She came up with it to honour her father, a veteran who had, as a single parent, raised his six children.
2. Unlike Mother's Day, which was warmly recieved, Father's Day was originally considered a big joke and was made fun by many newspaper for being isane.
3. Bot all countries celebrate Father's Day the same way. In germany, Mannertag(Men's Day), which is observed in May, is celebrated by getting as drunk as humanly possible. Men load up Wagons and wheelbarrows with beer and walk around town having a good time.
4. In taiwan, Father's Day is celebrated on 8 Aug. The reason is that the date (8/8) is pronounced "ba ba" which means "father" in chinese.
5. If anyone deserved the title of World's Most Hard-working Father, it must be Russian Feodor Vassilyev, who lived from 1707 to 1782. His wife gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets and four sets of quadruplets, thus making him a father to 69 children.
